Writer's Block: Father figure
Saint Connor
What's the most memorable piece of advice your father has shared with you?

Which one, eh?

He's never given me advice.  If he does talk to me, it's about something trivial at his office or he gave me orders that were a little demanding at the time.  For example, right after I had a lot of my family pass away right after the other, he came up to me and yelled for I was crying.  I was told to never cry in front of anyone because doing so made you weak.

Now, I understand that everyone, in some capacity, has their weaknesses.  But in my household the German side stays strong most of the time and it makes us stubbornly proud,  He fed off of that which was a dick thing to do in the first place.  Has he given me advice?  I'd have to say no.

On the other hand, I've had a lot of fatherly figures, and there's advice galore there.  But on this Father's Day I don't have much to feel fuzzy about.  So I won't.  It's just another Sunday in June.
